내 그림은 예쁨보다 쓸모에 가깝습니다.
그림은 벽에 걸어두고 감상하는 것으로 끝나지 않습니다.
때로는 웃음을 건네는 작은 아이콘이 되고,
때로는 일상 속 소품에 스며들어 곁을 지키며,
또 때로는 마음을 정리해 주는 글과 함께 살아갑니다.
저는 ‘예쁘다’는 찰나의 감탄보다는,
그림이 누군가의 하루에 스며들어 쓰이고 살아남는 것을 더 소중히 여깁니다.
그래서 제 작업은 타로카드, 한글 소품, 전통 문양, 자유로운 상상 속의 이미지까지
일상의 언어와 삶 속에서 함께 살아갈 수 있는 형태로 만들어집니다.
여기에서 보여드리는 그림들은 모두 그런 생각의 흔적입니다.
누군가의 일상에서 작은 쓸모로 살아남기를 바랍니다.

My drawings lean more toward use than beauty.
Art doesn’t end when it is framed and admired.
Sometimes it becomes a little icon that brings laughter,
sometimes it lives quietly on everyday objects,
and sometimes it accompanies words that comfort the heart.
For me, what matters is not just the fleeting “It’s pretty”,
but whether the drawing can survive as part of someone’s daily life.
That’s why my work ranges from tarot cards, Hangul-inspired illustrations,
and traditional motifs to free, playful images —
all created to live together with people in their ordinary moments.
The works you see here are footprints of that thought.
I hope they find their place as a small, meaningful use in your life.
